Overview
This bachelor's degree lets students specialize in biology while keeping a path open to many careers and further study. It is run jointly by two departments, one focused on ecology, evolution and whole organisms and the other on molecular and cellular biology.
Students examine living systems from atoms up to the biosphere, with evolution serving as the organizing idea for asking questions and testing predictions. Research and experimentation run through the curriculum, and laboratory courses and research projects give hands-on practice with the scientific process.
The program is taught in person on the Kennesaw campus, with tracks such as General Biology and Human Health. Students can enter in fall, spring or summer, and a Double Owl Pathway links the degree to the Integrative Biology master's program.
