Overview
The Bachelor of Science in Construction Management prepares students to build careers in the diverse construction business. The program has accreditation from the national council for construction education and is well known nationally and counts among the biggest of its kind.
Students gain leadership and technical skills for running projects from beginning to end, learning by doing and by engaging with professionals. They learn to develop a project, including organization, scheduling, budgeting and implementation, and to prepare estimates and progress reports, conduct code and safety inspection reviews and monitor environmental compliance.
Electives let students focus on areas such as heavy and civil work, industrial construction and land development, or specialty trades and facilities management. Most students obtain paid construction jobs while studying, and internship leads are shared through email, online postings and career fairs. Classes are hybrid and based on the Marietta campus.
