AA/AS in Chemistry

Lehigh Carbon Community College offers this associate of science in chemistry for students planning to transfer. It suits those heading toward biochemistry, chemical engineering, environmental science, geology, chemistry itself, or professional study in medicine and veterinary medicine. The core classes pair two-semester sequences in general chemistry and organic chemistry with general biology and general physics. Students therefore gain a wide science base before moving to a university. Pennsylvania's statewide program-to-program articulation is described as the mechanism that allows graduates to join participating four-year colleges as juniors, and the page lists many partner universities across the state. A physics professor serves as program coordinator. The page also includes a section on course fees. Students interested in this field can contact the coordinator at the Schnecksville campus.
