AA/AS in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management

The computer information systems associate of science degree at Lehigh Carbon Community College gives students a broad grounding in both the technical and non-technical sides of security. It is also meant to prepare them to transfer into a four-year degree in computer science or information systems. Classes include structured C++ programming, Visual Basic.NET object-oriented development, systems analysis and design, database concepts, operating systems, and CompTIA Network+. This mix covers writing software, planning information systems, and supporting networks. The college shows a pathway beginning with career and technical high school programs, such as computer support work, and extending toward four-year study. A computer information systems faculty member coordinates the program for interested students. Students interested in this field can contact the coordinator at the Schnecksville campus.
