BA/BS in Finance and Financial Management Services

The finance major at Northeastern Illinois University is delivered by the Accounting, Business Law and Finance department inside the business college. It examines how value is measured, how investments are made and how money is managed in organizations. The curriculum draws on accounting, economics and statistics. Students encounter corporate finance, international finance and investing, along with core ideas about markets. Majors can steer their studies toward either financial markets or financial management practice. The college holds AACSB accreditation and schedules daytime, evening and weekend sections. Small classes give students regular contact with faculty, plus internship opportunities, job fairs and industry conferences. Prospective students can call the department with questions. The university's diverse student body and urban setting, reachable by car or public transit, add a varied backdrop to the program.
