MA/MS in Computer Science

This graduate degree is meant for people already working in technology who hold an undergraduate credential in computer science or a related discipline and now need a more advanced qualification. Study deepens what students know about algorithms, data structures and programming languages, and it builds the analytical and theoretical grounding that senior technical roles tend to require. Requirements are arranged in three layers: foundational core courses, a set of required courses chosen from defined categories, and electives. Each student finishes by completing a thesis or, alternatively, a graduate project, and the number of electives changes depending on which of the two is selected. Meetings take place on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings, which allows students to keep their jobs while enrolled. Graduates move toward specialist posts, management and leadership positions, or doctoral study, and some choose to teach computer science in high schools. The university also points to tuition costs and close faculty contact as features of the program.
