Cert in Dental Support Services and Allied Professions

Mesa College's Dental Assisting program prepares students for state and national board examinations and for a career as a dental assistant. It is accredited by the Dental Board of California and by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. Certification coursework covers basic life support, infection control, the California Dental Practice Act, radiography, coronal polishing and pit and fissure sealant placement. Students train in a modern clinic and laboratory-style classrooms equipped with professional dental tools, learning to use intra-oral cameras, x-ray equipment and dental software while supporting patient care under close faculty guidance. The program page also lists requirements, course descriptions, career information, upcoming events, faculty contacts and an estimated cost section, and visitors can ask the college for more information before deciding whether the program fits their goals and career plans in the local community, whatever their starting point.
