AA/AS in Computer Science

Computer and Information Sciences at San Diego Mesa College introduces students to computing in business and professional settings. The associate-level coursework connects theory with practical use. Students can take work-experience classes that build fluency in programming languages and data handling while widening their understanding of the global computing landscape. Faculty help them think critically about applying new technologies to realistic problems. An industry advisory committee informs the program. Graduates are prepared to begin entry-level technology jobs or to transfer and keep studying computer science. The program also helps students see how technology choices affect organizations and the people they serve. Prospective students can find requirement details, course lists, career information, and faculty contacts through the program's own page when planning their path. Interested applicants can also request information or arrange a campus visit there.
