Program details

Overview

The Juris Doctor program provides a broad legal education grounded in foundational courses and strengthened by experiential learning. It stresses analytical reasoning, close reading of law, and professional ethics. Students can take part in clinic work, externships, moot court, and writing practice, and learn from faculty across a wide range of course offerings. Graduates are prepared for private practice, public service, or academic paths. Outside class, law students join student-led organizations, law journals, and pro bono initiatives, and meet alumni and practitioners at networking events. Opportunities for interdisciplinary work, leadership development, and international study add to the experience. The school offers other degree options too, including master's programs for lawyers, so applicants can compare pathways before deciding which program matches their background and professional plans.
