MA/MS in English Language and Literature, General

This master's program in English literature and language steeps students in narrative, research, writing and outreach, readying them for doctoral work, law school and many workplaces. Students build analytical and imaginative ways of working with texts and cultural expression in small classes with dedicated mentors. The degree is 36 credit hours and is offered in person and online, with an 18-credit-hour certificate option for those wanting a shorter credential, a combined degree plan and a joint degree program. Courses are taught by faculty who emphasise applied practice alongside theory, and the degree is designed to advance careers or prepare students for further study. Applicants can request information or apply through the university website, and the program office can explain the formats, schedules and requirements that apply.
