AA/AS in Criminal Justice and Corrections

Criminal Justice introduces students to law enforcement, courts and corrections and the social issues surrounding crime. It serves students heading toward public safety careers or continuing to a four-year degree. The program is offered at both the Ammerman and Grant campuses, where student advisors can answer questions. A program coordinator based in Selden oversees the major, and a student club is open for students who want to connect with peers. Students who plan to continue at a four-year institution can review the transfer agreements Suffolk publishes for its majors. Questions about applying are handled by the Central Admissions office, which is open on weekdays during regular business hours, and each program lists a contact person for academic questions. Course listings are available online, so prospective students can compare requirements before choosing a major and speak with an advisor about next steps.
