The on-campus Master of Science offered by the Friedman School is an interdisciplinary degree for students interested in nutrition science, food systems, agriculture, policy, data analytics, sustainability and planetary health.
Students do not need to settle on a focus when applying. After enrolling they pick two specializations or design a custom pair with advisor support. Entrants need a four-year degree plus one introductory course in a science such as chemistry, biology or physiology.
The program runs at the Boston Health Sciences Campus, takes about two years of full-time study or three of part-time study, and carries a STEM designation.
Courses are taken across two fall and two spring semesters, and sixteen courses make up the program. Admitted students who inquire can receive a financial aid discount.
