PGCert in Data Science

This graduate certificate teaches students to collect, analyze and interpret data in applied settings as data scientists. The twelve-credit plan has an integrative data science course, two further core courses and one elective that lets learners tailor the credential to their goals. Students short on computing or statistics background can choose a ramp-up course as the elective. Credits can later count toward the master's degree in data science. Students enrolled in other WPI graduate degrees may double count as much as a third of the credits. Application requirements match those of the master's program. Applicants can connect with the program or review requirements from the program page. The certificate suits professionals who want a concentrated credential in data skills, with the option to continue toward the master's degree afterward.
