BA/BS in Sustainability Studies

This degree trains students to address environmental problems with both technical and social tools, especially the effects of human-driven change on natural systems. Project work and coursework are embedded in the science and technology culture of the university. Students team up with engineers, natural scientists and social scientists and learn to communicate technical information clearly. They also learn to carry out change that is scientifically sound and sensitive to culture. Co-ops, internships and combined bachelor's and master's options add experience. Students unsure about a full major can take a minor in environmental sustainability instead. Students can request information or apply from the program page.
