PGCert in Museology/Museum Studies

The Advanced Certificate in Museum Studies lets students add a focused study of how museums work to a master's or doctoral education. It can be pursued alongside another graduate degree or after finishing one, and it draws on faculty, adjunct faculty and an alumni network. The core covers the history and theory of museums, collections and exhibitions, and museum management, followed by an internship and two electives drawn from museum studies or cross-listed departments. The certificate totals 24 credits. Applicants meet the general requirements of the arts and science graduate school: transcripts, applicant statements, a resume, recommendation letters and a non-refundable application fee, with test scores if required.
