Overview
The University of Bath is a public research university on a single campus at Claverton Down, on the edge of the city of Bath in South West England, roughly ninety minutes from London by rail.
It gained its royal charter in 1966. The university is organised into three faculties, one school and sixteen departments, with three cross-disciplinary institutes supporting research.
It enrols around 21,500 students for the current academic year, split roughly between 16,400 undergraduates and 5,000 postgraduates, with over a quarter of the student body coming from outside the UK across more than 150 nationalities.
