Overview
Electrical Engineering Technology is a three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma delivered at Algonquin College's Algonquin Centre for Construction Excellence. The curriculum covers electrical principles, electronic assembly, industrial control systems, computer applications, and design tools including AutoCAD and Revit, along with communication systems and instrumentation and robotics. Instruction is offered through a mix of classroom, lab, online, and hybrid course formats. Students use dedicated facilities to build practical electrical engineering technology skills and complete a capstone project undertaken with industry clients in their final year, applying design and analysis skills to a real engineering problem from start to finish. Requirements
Admission Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or Mature Student status (19 years of age or older and without a high school diploma). Program-specific requirements: English, Grade 12 (ENG4C or equivalent), and Mathematics, Grade 12 (MAP4C or equivalent) or Grade 11 (MCF3M or equivalent). International applicants must demonstrate English proficiency through IELTS Academic (6.0 overall, no band below 5.5), TOEFL iBT (80 overall), or the Duolingo English Test (110 overall).
