Bow Valley College's Interior Decorating Diploma is a two-year, four-term program in the Chiu School of Business that prepares students to plan and execute residential and commercial interior spaces. Coursework covers colour theory, textiles, lighting, and the principles of form and function, alongside space planning, materials selection, and client presentation skills. The program is recognized by the Decorators & Designers Association of Canada (DDA), supporting graduates' eligibility for professional association membership. Courses are delivered both in person and online, though not every course is offered in every semester. Graduates are prepared for roles such as interior decorator, colour consultant, furniture consultant, lighting consultant, interior draft person, stylist, and stager, as well as positions in the kitchen and bath industry. The diploma combines design theory with practical studio work, building a portfolio students can use when entering the residential and commercial decorating field.
