The Bachelor of Arts in Creative Arts at Brandon University is a four-year program for students seeking breadth across the fine and performing arts. Students combine two of four available streams -- Visual Art, Drama, Music, and Creative Writing -- into a 60-credit-hour major. The Visual Art stream balances art history and studio practice; the Creative Writing stream balances creative writing and the study of literature; the Drama stream progresses through introductory, intermediate, and advanced coursework; and the Music stream requires approval from the Dean of the School of Music and may carry a surcharge for applied study. Alongside the two chosen streams, students complete a minor area of study and Brandon University's liberal education requirements, including six credit hours each in the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences. Full degree requirements are set out in the Academic Calendar.
