Requirements
Admission Requirements: This is a two-step admission process. Step 1 requires English language proficiency at BCIT's Category 1 level (English Studies 12 at 73%, or an institution-wide equivalent such as IELTS Academic overall 7.0 with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 90 with no section below 20, or PTE Academic 65 with no skill below 60), plus one of two entry options: at least 60 credits in a healthcare-related discipline, or at least 60 credits in any discipline combined with a minimum one year of relevant part-time or full-time healthcare-environment work or volunteer experience (including administration, policy, research or education roles). A mandatory Applicant Questionnaire is submitted with the application. Step 2 is a department assessment of the completed file and questionnaire responses. Foreign credentials need a course-by-course ICES evaluation with GPA calculation. International applicants may enrol only if completing the program from outside Canada or holding valid Canadian status other than a study permit; they are not eligible for a study permit, and the program does not meet the eligible field of study requirement (CIP code 51.0707) for a Post-Graduation Work Permit.
