Overview

This diploma trains students across several computing technologies, including databases, network administration, web technology, and security, building a broad technical skill set. Graduates work as IT specialists responsible for planning, deploying, administering, and configuring computing infrastructure across organisations of many kinds.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Entry requires BCIT's Category 2 English standard, English Studies 12 at 67% or equivalent, and one of Pre-Calculus 12 at 67%, Foundations of Mathematics 12 at 73%, or an accepted BC/Yukon equivalent. No minimum GPA beyond these course grades is stated, and BCIT does not require a portfolio, interview or documented work experience for entry. Applicants who meet all entrance requirements are admitted on a first-qualified basis as space allows, and the program defers to BCIT's general entrance-requirement policy for any other equivalencies or alternative credentials not explicitly listed on the page. Application Deadline: Two intakes: for September, applications open 1 October and close 1 September for domestic applicants and 2 July for international applicants; for January, they open 1 February and close 2 January domestic and 1 November international.
