Requirements

Admission Requirements: BCIT recommends, rather than mandates, a set of academic prerequisites for this self-paced microcredential: English Studies 12 at 67% (BCIT's Category 2 English-language standard) or equivalent, Physics 11 at 67%, and one of Pre-Calculus 11 at 67%, Pre-Calculus 12 at 50%, or Foundations of Mathematics 12 at 67%. Candidates should also have a good command of oral and written English, normal hearing, eyesight and colour vision, manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination, strong theoretical and practical mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude; prior power-plant experience is noted as an asset. Applicants with a medical or physical condition that may affect performance are directed to arrange an evaluation interview with BCIT Accessibility Services. No formal application is required, each course is passed at a minimum of 60%, and the microcredential can be completed within one year across BCIT's ongoing intakes. The program is not open to study-permit holders.

These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
