Brock University's Bachelor of Education, Teacher Education – Consecutive, is a professional program for students who have already completed an undergraduate degree, run over three semesters across one academic year from May to April on a full-time basis only; part-time study and reduced course loads are not permitted. Teacher candidates integrate theory and practice through placements in partner schools, completing more than 80 days in Ontario classrooms under the supervision of practicum advisors, practicum instructors, and associate teachers. Candidates may personalize their learning through optional courses and professional-development opportunities, and some may qualify for an alternative placement experience in their final year. The program offers three certification divisions: Primary/Junior (Kindergarten to Grade 6), Junior/Intermediate (Grades 4 to 10, elementary-focused), and Intermediate/Senior (Grades 7 to 12, secondary-focused). Graduates are recommended to the Ontario College of Teachers for an Ontario Certificate of Qualification and Registration. The program runs at Brock's main St. Catharines campus and its Burlington campus.
