The Graduate Diploma in Game Studies is a course-based, interdisciplinary program offered by Brock University's Faculty of Humanities. It provides a broad grounding in game studies and game design, with particular focus on games used for education, health, and persuasion, and explores how principles from game studies can be applied in non-gaming fields such as education, public policy, and healthcare. The diploma comprises six courses and is open to both full-time and part-time students, running over three terms (one year) with a September start. It is designed for applicants from a range of academic and professional backgrounds, including recent graduates and mid-career professionals. Students who perform well have the option, with permission from the Graduate Program Director, to transfer into Brock's MA in Game Design program. The program is delivered at Brock's main campus in St. Catharines, Ontario.
