Overview
Level up your nursing career by earning your Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree! If you are a fully licensed, practicing Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in Ontario, you have the opportunity to complete the bridge within two years and then earn your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree by coming on campus in Sudbury, Ontario for two additional years! Our series of courses provide you with the credits you need to be eligible to apply to Cambrian’s competitive BScN program that can open up new career options and position you as a health care leader in hospitals, long-term care settings, community agencies, and more. The Nursing Program Transformation Initiative (NPTI) Registered Practical Nursing (RPN) to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Pathway is a series of six online courses, run through OntarioLearn, designed to help RPNs complete a BScN program at a participating Ontario college.

Admission Requirements: Cambrian's Nursing Transformation Bridge – the NURB route into the RPN-to-BScN pathway – admits graduates of a two-year Practical Nursing diploma approved by the College of Nurses of Ontario with a cumulative programme average of 65% or higher, who hold a full, unrestricted Registered Practical Nurse licence in good standing and have worked as an RPN in Ontario within the past five years on at least a part-time or casual basis; Canadian citizenship, permanent-resident status, or authorization under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act is required. No standardized English-proficiency test is quoted. Before clinical placements, admitted students must supply AODA and Worker Health and Safety Awareness training, a current Basic Cardiac Life Support (HCP) certificate, a Standard First Aid certificate, N95 fit-testing, an annual vulnerable-sector criminal record check, WHMIS certification, and a full immunization record including TB testing, MMR, varicella, Tdap, influenza, hepatitis B and up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination. Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for programmes starting September 2027 the application opens 26 September 2026 and the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, after which applications are assessed first-come, first-served while seats remain. Cambrian's own 2026-27 Academic Schedule A separately sets a Day-3 last-day-to-apply cut-off for every program each term - 13 January 2027 for the January 2027 intake and 12 May 2027 for the May 2027 intake - with transcripts in hand and the non-refundable deposit ready before Day 5. International applicants apply through the OCAS International Application Service (up to three Cambrian programmes) or an authorised agent and are reviewed individually; Cambrian publishes no fixed international closing date. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
