The Civil Engineering Technology Access Certificate is designed for students interested in the Civil Engineering Technology program who do not currently meet the admission requirements or who wish to enhance their skills before entering the diploma program. Admission Requirements: Direct entry to this access certificate requires C in English 10, or C in English 10 Camosun Alternative, as the stated language requirement; no separate IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Duolingo or CAEL score is published. A math requirement also applies, met by any one of: B in Principles of Mathematics 10 or Foundations of Mathematics and Pre-calculus 10, C in Principles of Mathematics 11 or Pre-calculus 11, B in MATH 053, MATH 072 or MATH 075, or C in MATH 073 or MATH 077. Applicants must hold proof of the stated grade or higher. Those missing either requirement may take an assessment or an upgrading course through Upgrading and College Prep before applying. The certificate has a single annual intake, in September.
