The Information Technology for Internationally Educated Professionals Certificate at York University is a professional certificate designed for people who already hold an information technology degree and work experience from outside Canada and want to build their knowledge, skills and professional networks for the Canadian workplace. It is structured around three Internationally Educated Professionals (IEP) Foundation courses (9 credits) plus five further specialized courses (15 credits), for 24 credits in total, in areas such as systems analysis, enterprise systems, or big data and data analytics. It is open to current participants in York's Bridging Program for Internationally Educated Professionals, and to new applicants who hold a related university degree from an accredited non-Canadian institution and have resided in Ontario for no more than five years. The certificate can be studied full-time or part-time, with study sessions offered in the Fall, Winter and Summer terms.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Open to current participants in the Bridging Program for Internationally Educated Professionals, and to new applicants to York who already hold a related university degree from an accredited non-Canadian institution and have resided in Ontario for no more than five years. Additional minimum requirements apply for the certificate program.
