The Mathematics program at the University of Regina, studied through Campion College, leads to a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or a Bachelor of Science Honours in Mathematics, with combined-major options in Applied Mathematics and Statistics or in Computer Science and Mathematics. The four-year curriculum covers the core branches of pure mathematics: algebra, analysis, combinatorics, probability, and topology, alongside calculus, matrix algebra, and differential equations. BSc students also take coursework in statistics and computer science and develop skills in mathematical proof and reasoning. The Honours program has additional requirements, including a higher overall average, and emphasizes high-level abstract mathematical reasoning as preparation for graduate study; many graduates go on to MSc and PhD programs elsewhere. Optional upper-year courses include number theory, abstract algebra, and optimization. A co-operative education option lets students alternate paid work terms with coursework for career-related experience. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics also offers Master of Science and PhD programs for students who continue to graduate study.
