Overview
The Sociology and Social Studies program at the University of Regina leads to a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with an honours option, completed over four years, and is offered through the Faculty of Arts jointly with the university's federated colleges, including Campion College. The curriculum examines social life, social problems, and social change, covering topics such as inequality, gender, race, crime, environment, and media, and develops analytical thinking together with quantitative and qualitative research skills. Admission pathways differ depending on whether a student enters directly from high school, transfers from another institution, or applies as a mature or international student. Graduates pursue careers as policy analysts, researchers, consultants, and community-service managers within government, non-profit, and private-sector organizations, and the degree also serves as a foundation for graduate study in sociology or related social-science fields.
