Graduate Certificate in Christian Studies

The Graduate Certificate in Christian Studies at Canadian Mennonite University gives students an introduction to graduate-level theological education, providing tools for a life of Christian study and service. The certificate requires a minimum of 24 credit hours, including at least 12 credit hours completed in residency at CMU, distributed across Bible (3 credit hours), Theology and History of Christianity (3 credit hours) and Practical Theology (3 credit hours), with the remaining credits taken as electives from CMU's graduate theology course offerings. Admission requires a baccalaureate degree with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 ('B'). The certificate is offered through CMU's Graduate School of Theology and Ministry and is available only to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, suiting students who want foundational graduate theological study without committing to a full master's degree program.
