For Manitoba applicants CMU requires five full-credit 40-level courses with a minimum 70% average across English 40S (minimum 60%), Math 40S and one further Academic Courses List subject, plus two more 40S/G/U/C-level courses; other provinces set their own equivalent five-or-six-course requirement with a grade 12 English course and an overall average of roughly 60-70% (e.g. Ontario: six 4U/4M courses at a 70% average with English 4U at 65%; Alberta: five 30-level courses averaging 60% with English 30-1 at 60%). Applicants whose first language is not English must present one of CMU's accepted tests: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 4.5 overall with no section below 4.0 as published by CMU, PTE Academic 58, CAEL 60, or MELAB 80%; Duolingo is not accepted and results must be under two years old.
