Overview
Techniques de l'informatique, Développement de logiciels concentration, is a technical DEC that trains software-development technicians. Teaching staff are described as experienced and in continual professional development on current techniques in the field, and students work with varied laboratory equipment that is frequently renewed. Students have the chance to work on projects with real users, gaining practical experience through collaboration with the local business community, and can join a computing club. A mandatory credited placement (stage) of ten weeks, full-time, is built into the sixth term, giving students concrete workplace experience. An optional work-study program (alternance travail-études) also lets students complete two paid placements during the summers of their studies, and an international placement is possible; the college has particular arrangements with institutions in France that support placements there.
