Techniques de l'informatique is a technical DEC preparing students to design websites and mobile applications and to analyze the information-system needs of organizations across a range of activities. The program also covers designing and developing multi-platform multimedia applications. Cégep Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu's page describes a curriculum renewed in 2018 to integrate multiplatform development, game programming, and emerging technologies such as connected objects and artificial intelligence. Students train in computer labs equipped with current hardware and software and are supervised by a teaching team the college describes as attuned to industry needs. The program is offered through an Alternance travail-études (ATE) formula, and the page mentions the possibility of a placement in France as well as the option to complete the final session abroad. Students can also take part in a computer-security club offered as an extracurricular activity. Admission Requirements: Admission requires the Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES) plus one of the prerequisites on the programme's own conditions d'admission page: Technico-sciences or Sciences naturelles de 4e secondaire (TS 4e / SN 4e), or Culture, société et technique de 5e secondaire (CST 5e). Students missing it may instead be admitted to an upgrading ("mise à niveau") stream, and those with a DES from before 2010 are directed to SRAM's equivalency table. Québec and Canadian applicants apply exclusively through the Service régional d'admission du Montréal métropolitain (SRAM, admission.sram.qc.ca); for fall entry the first round closes March 1 (with possible second and third rounds), and for winter entry the first round closes November 1. International applicants must show the equivalent of eleven completed years of schooling, evaluated by the Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration (MIFI) or by SRAM; the Cégep recommends the Bright test at level C1 (at least 4.0 on the CEFR scale), filed in the SRAM dossier. Applications go through SRAM's international-candidates section with card payment online; for fall entry the window opens March 15 of the prior year and closes March 14, and for winter entry it opens June 1 two years before and closes May 31 one year before. Techniques de physiothérapie does not admit international students. Admission is not rolling beyond these SRAM rounds.
