Overview
The Biomedical Engineering Technology (Fast Track) program will be beneficial if you have a college or university electronics background. Your past education will allow you direct admission into the second year (third semester) of this three-year diploma program to receive an advanced diploma in two years (four semesters). The Biomedical Engineering Technology courses, which are facilitated through the School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science, combine engineering and medicine. You will use technical problem-solving skills while learning about biomedical engineering principles, among which will be: Electronics Biomedical Sciences Applied Engineering Technology, Microcontrollers The merger between the biomedical equipment industry, engineering and scientific disciplines has seen innovations within the health care system that require qualified professionals in biomedical engineering. The program continuously evolves to reflect the ever-growing innovations in the industry, upgrading its curriculum to do so. As a Biomedical Engineering Technology graduate, you will be in demand!

Admission Requirements: This fast-track advanced diploma admits applicants who already hold a diploma or degree in a related science or engineering field; Centennial reviews the applicant's transcript and resume as part of the decision. Applicants must also take Centennial's own English Admission Test or otherwise satisfy its English-proficiency standard. The program page defers that standard to Centennial's institution-wide requirement, which for fast-track and advanced-diploma programs sets IELTS Academic 6.5 with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 81 with Reading at least 19 and Writing at least 23, and PTE Academic 58. Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca; international applicants apply directly to Centennial. No minimum admission GPA or average is published for entry, and the program's availability table does not currently list an open intake term.

Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for a program starting in Fall 2027 the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, and applications arriving after it are still assessed, but first-come first-served while places remain. Across the Ontario college system the application opened on 26 September 2026, offers may be issued from 1 November 2026, and an offer must be accepted by 1 May 2027.
