Associate of Arts - First Nations Specialization

The Associate of Arts – First Nations Specialization is a two-year, 60-credit programme at Coast Mountain College focused on First Nations history, perspectives and worldviews, taught from First Nations voices and lived experience. It builds on the college's general Associate of Arts curriculum while allowing students to focus coursework on First Nations Studies. The programme can be completed full-time or part-time; most courses are delivered on campus, with some available online or by teleconference. It is designed to transfer toward a full bachelor's degree at another institution or to be completed as a stand-alone two-year credential at CMTN, though completion in exactly two years is not guaranteed and depends on course availability and course load. Graduates receive an Associate of Arts Degree with the First Nations specialization noted on their transcript.
