Program details

Overview

This program leads to an Associate of Arts, a two-year credential delivered in hybrid format at the Winnipeg campus, available full-time or part-time with Fall and Winter intakes, though it is not open to applicants requiring a study permit. The curriculum provides breadth across the liberal arts, including required coursework in university-level writing, literary works, Christianity and world religions, the social sciences, mathematics and science, and a choice between fine arts or philosophy, along with upper-level humanities electives. The program suits students who want a shorter course of study than a full bachelor's degree, those still exploring possible career directions, and learners primarily seeking to build critical thinking and writing skills. Graduates have the option to continue into a Bachelor of Arts program, making this credential a foundation for further undergraduate study as well as a standalone qualification for those not yet ready to commit to a longer degree.
