Overview

Gestion comptable et financiere (410.GF) is a technical DEC at College Ahuntsic within the Techniques d'administration et de gestion family. The page describes a foundation in accounting and taxation that develops competencies in management, accounting, finance, entrepreneurship, and marketing. Students learn to prepare budgets, use specialized accounting software, and carry out financial analyses and accounting transactions for various types of businesses. Stated graduate tasks include recording accounting transactions, preparing and controlling budgets, producing financial analyses, preparing and verifying income-tax returns, analyzing business operations, supporting material-resource management, assisting with quality management, project management, marketing, customer service and personnel management, and helping manage imports and exports. The program admits for both the Fall and Winter sessions and prepares graduates for accounting and financial-management roles or further university study in business.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: The program's own page sets one prerequisite: CST mathematics from Secondary 4. Beyond this, admission follows the College's general regulation R-11: a Diplome d'etudes secondaires covering it, or an equivalent Diplome d'etudes professionnelles with the required upgrading courses, plus eligible citizenship or immigration status. Applicants whose Secondary 5 language of instruction was not French must pass the College's own French-language test. Admission is offered for both the Fall and Winter sessions, per SRAM's calendar. Admission is processed through SRAM.
