Cert in Acute Care Attendant

The Acute Care Attendant certificate prepares students to provide nursing care, in a hospital setting, to patients with acute conditions or who are convalescing. The 24-week program includes internships on hospital acute-care units and leads to a CCNB certificate in Acute Care Attendant. It is offered across CCNB's five campuses (Bathurst, Campbellton, Dieppe, Edmundston, and Péninsule acadienne), starting each September. Admission follows Profile A: a high school diploma (regular or modified program) or an adult high school diploma, or passing the CCNB admission test. International applicants may qualify with a secondary school diploma or equivalent and by passing the CCNB admission test. Training combines classroom theory, laboratory skills practice, and supervised clinical placements on hospital acute-care units, preparing graduates to support nursing teams by delivering direct patient care to individuals with acute or convalescent health needs in hospital environments.
