Baccalauréat International – Sciences cognitives (700.Z0) is Collège de Maisonneuve's implementation of the ministry's multidisciplinary International Baccalaureate pathway, delivered as a pre-university program leading to a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) over four terms, combined with an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma; the college states it is the only cégep in Quebec to offer a cognitive-science stream through this pathway. The curriculum draws on tools and methods from computing, linguistics, mathematics, psychology, and philosophy alongside courses in English, philosophy, biology, physical education, and language acquisition, oriented toward how thought is studied across human, animal, and artificial-intelligence contexts and drawing on sub-disciplines such as neuroscience, linguistics, anthropology, and psychology. Throughout all four terms, students research, write, and defend an extended personal essay in place of the standard DEC synthesis project, and they complete the IB's Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) component, engaging in activities such as volunteer commitments or long-term artistic or athletic projects. Students remain together in a stable cohort with continuity of instruction across the program. It suits students interested in artificial intelligence, cognition, and interdisciplinary research who are aiming for admission to selective university programs, and who want to earn both a DEC and an internationally recognized IB diploma.

Admission Requirements: The Baccalauréat International (cheminement multidisciplinaire, profil Sciences cognitives) requires the DES (Diplôme d'études secondaires) or equivalent training, plus a science prerequisite at 4e secondaire (Science et technologie together with Science et technologie de l'environnement, or Applications technologiques et scientifiques together with Sciences et environnement) and a mathematics prerequisite at 5e secondaire (Technico-sciences or Sciences naturelles, or the equivalent). Admission is competitive, though the programme page publishes no numeric average threshold, and the college accepts applicants with or without prior IB experience. It recommends, without making it mandatory, that applicants have at least an intermediate level of spoken and written English. Applications go exclusively through the SRAM (admission.sram.qc.ca). International applicants must also meet the college's own requirement of French at level B2 in all four skills (TEF, TCF tout public, CIEP or Bright-langue).
