This program combines a pre-university Diplome d'etudes collegiales (DEC) with music training, completed over three years through a partnership between College Jean-de-Brebeuf and the Ecole de musique Vincent-d'Indy. Students choose one of three academic streams to pair with the music component: Sciences of Nature and Music, Humanities and Music, or Arts, Letters and Communication and Music. Course and exam schedules at the two institutions are coordinated, and transportation between the college and the music school is arranged; an on-campus residence option is available. The Double DEC combines a regular DEC profile with music at the Ecole de musique Vincent-d'Indy, and its own page states the prerequisite varies by chosen profile: Natural Sciences and Music requires Secondary 5 mathematics (Technico-Sciences or Natural Sciences sequence) plus Secondary 5 chemistry and physics; Human Sciences and Music requires Secondary 5 mathematics in the same sequences for its mathematics-track pathways; and Arts, Letters, Communication and Music requires Secondary 5 mathematics from the CST, TS or SN sequence, plus a music audition at Vincent-d'Indy. Enrolment is capped at 30 first-year students per cohort.

As published on the college's own site, Automne 2026 admissions are now closed, and Hiver (Winter) 2027 admissions open on 15 September 2026 at noon; the college's FAQ separately recommends applying before 1 March each year since spots are limited, though no year is attached to that recurring advice and Automne 2027 dates are not yet posted. International candidates cannot apply for the Winter session unless they already hold a CAQ and study permit, and no fixed international deadline is published for the Fall intake.
