Overview
This Double DEC combines the pre-university Sciences de la nature program with the pre-university Danse program at Collège Montmorency, letting students complete both diplomas over three years rather than the two years of a single pre-university DEC. The science strand covers mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology and prepares students for university science, health or engineering studies. The dance strand combines technical dance training with choreography and dance history, geared toward students continuing into university dance programs or professional performance training. Carrying both curricula at once adds to the workload compared with a standard DEC, and admission requires meeting the entrance requirements of each individual program, including the dance program's audition. On completion, students receive two separate Diplômes d'études collégiales. The program suits students who want to maintain serious dance training while keeping a science-based university path open, instead of choosing one direction over the other after high school.

Admission Requirements: Prerequisites for this Sciences de la nature / Danse double DEC (Collège Montmorency's own program page): a Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES); Mathematics TS or SN 5th secondary (or Mathematics 536); Physics 5th secondary; and Chemistry 5th secondary. The program is not formally capacity-restricted, but admission is usually limited to SRAM's 1st round because of laboratory equipment and space constraints; the page does not add a separate dance audition for this combination. Applicants without Canadian status apply to this program through SRAM as international candidates; Collège Montmorency's own admission pages set a minimum B2 level in both written and spoken French for international applicants, met through Bright (minimum 3.7 in every section) or DELF/DALF (an overall score of at least 67 with a minimum of 16.75 in each of the four components).
