Program details

Overview

This Double DEC combines the pre-university Sciences de la nature program with the Littérature profile of the pre-university Arts, lettres et communication program, allowing students at Collège Montmorency to complete both diplomas in three years. The science side is built on mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology, the usual foundation for university science, health and engineering studies. The Littérature profile centres on reading and analyzing literary works, creative and critical writing, and related language and cultural studies, preparing students for university programs in literature, languages or the humanities. Running both curricula together lengthens the program by a year compared with a single pre-university DEC, and admission depends on meeting the entrance requirements of both individual programs. Students who complete the program receive two separate Diplômes d'études collégiales. It suits students who want to keep a scientific university path open while also pursuing a serious literary and language-focused education.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission requires meeting the entrance requirements of both individual programs (Sciences de la nature and the Littérature profile of Arts, Lettres et Communication); combining the two curricula lengthens the program by a year compared with a single pre-university DEC.
