Overview
This Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering, offered through Concordia's Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science, covers computer architecture, digital electronics, circuits, and digital communication alongside programming methodology for designing data structures and algorithms, and addresses system interface and integration issues. An Avionics and Embedded Systems option is available, along with customized electives based on student interest. Full-time study takes a minimum of four to five years (120-150 credits), with classes on the Sir George Williams campus and admission in the Fall and Winter terms. Students may join a cooperative education stream offering paid work terms of 12 to 16 weeks in which they design, build, and test computing systems and software; those not enrolled in co-op must instead complete a single 12-to-17-week internship through the Career Edge program to graduate. An integrated path allows up to 16 credits to count toward both the Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Engineering, shortening the route to graduate study.

Admission Requirements: Direct entry from Quebec CEGEP requires a DEC with an overall average of 26, 25 in mathematics and 25 in physics, covering Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Linear Algebra, Mechanics and Electricity and Magnetism plus General Chemistry 1; holders of an eligible technical DEC (244.A0, 420.A0, 420.B0 or 243.A0-D0) may qualify without these prerequisites, though the 25/25 minimums apply if the courses were taken. Ontario and other Canadian high-school applicants need a C+ overall average with B in a Grade 12 pre-calculus or calculus course and B in Grade 12 physics; IB Diploma applicants need 26 points overall with 4 HL or 5 SL mathematics and 5 in physics. Concordia's institution-wide English proficiency minimum applies unless exempt: IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 70, or Duolingo 105. Fall applications are due March 1 (February 1 for U.S./international) and Winter applications November 1 (August 1 for U.S./international).

Application Deadline:Domestic applicants, including Quebec CEGEP graduates, apply directly to Concordia: for Fall 2027 entry (September start) the application deadline is 1 March 2027, and for Winter 2027 entry (January start) it is 1 November 2026; not all programs admit in Winter. Concordia sets the same formal deadlines for U.S. and international applicants but strongly recommends applying earlier - by 1 February 2027 for Fall or 1 August 2026 for Winter - to allow time for immigration processing. Late applications are considered if space remains, and Concordia does not publish a separate application-opening date.
