Overview
This Bachelor of Fine Arts in Print Media, offered through Concordia's Faculty of Fine Arts, is an interdisciplinary studio program that treats print as a foundational approach to contemporary art practice, with instruction in lithography, intaglio, screen printing, monoprinting, relief printing, digital imaging and book arts. Students complete a Major in Print Media (60 credits); a 30-credit Minor exists but is not currently accepting new admissions. Full-time study takes a minimum of three to four years (90-120 credits), depending on the student's academic background, with classes held on the Sir George Williams campus. The program admits students for the Fall term only; winter admission is not offered.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Quebec CEGEP applicants need a DEC; Canadian high school applicants need a C+ average (ACT/SAT not required); IB Diploma applicants need 26 points; British A-level applicants need at least two A-level exams at DD or equivalent. All applicants must submit a digital portfolio of 15 to 20 items showing work in a variety of media across two and three dimensions, plus a one-page letter of intent describing educational background and program goals. Concordia's institution-wide English proficiency minimum applies unless exempt: IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 70, or Duolingo 105. The application deadline is March 1 (February 1 recommended for U.S./international applicants).
