MA/MS in Cinematic Arts (MFA)

This Master of Fine Arts in Cinematic Arts is a two-year, 45-credit graduate program at Concordia University designed to foster creative cinematic expression and production, with an emphasis on hybrid media and research-creation models. Students work across specializations such as cinematography, editing, screenwriting, and digital media, positioning themselves as creators of knowledge through practice-led research methodologies. The program is delivered on-campus at Concordia's Sir George Williams campus with a single Fall intake each year. Applicants typically hold a BFA or BA with a concentration in film production, video, photography, animation, media arts, or an equivalent field, with a minimum B average in the major area; applicants from other undergraduate backgrounds may also be considered based on relevant experience and proficiency.
