Program details

Overview

Concordia University's Executive MBA is a course-based Master of Business Administration offered on the Sir George Williams campus with a single fall intake and a two-year, 46-credit curriculum. The program is organized into four thematic terms, each combining core courses with an integrative course that applies the term's material to real-world business contexts. Core content covers financial performance, talent management, marketing, capital markets, supply chain strategy, IT and digital strategy, global management, and leadership, while integrative components include an international study trip, entrepreneurship, and an executive transformation studio. Admission requires a minimum of five years of relevant professional, managerial, or entrepreneurial work experience, along with a commitment of support from the applicant's employer. The program is designed for experienced professionals seeking to strengthen strategic and leadership capabilities while continuing to work, rather than for early-career candidates. Its emphasis on ambiguity, change management, and cross-functional decision-making reflects its target audience of mid-to-senior-level managers and executives preparing for broader leadership roles.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Concordia's Executive MBA, offered through the John Molson School of Business, requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification; candidates with extensive professional experience but no bachelor's degree may still be considered. Applicants need a minimum of five years of relevant professional, managerial or entrepreneurial work experience, together with a written commitment of support from their employer. A satisfactory Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) result is normally required, though the program may waive it for candidates with strong academic credentials. Applicants whose primary language is not English must meet John Molson's graduate English-proficiency requirement, published on Concordia's School of Graduate Studies site: IELTS Academic 7.0 overall with no band below 6.5, TOEFL iBT 90 with no section under 20, PTE Academic 61 with no part under 53, or Duolingo English Test 120. The application must include two letters of reference from work-related or academic sources, a statement of purpose, and applicants who pass the paper review are invited to a successful interview with the Admissions Committee.

Application Details

Start Date: September
Application Deadline: Domestic applicants, including Quebec CEGEP graduates, apply directly to Concordia: for Fall 2027 entry (September start) the application deadline is 1 March 2027, and for Winter 2027 entry (January start) it is 1 November 2026; not all programs admit in Winter. Concordia sets the same formal deadlines for U.S. and international applicants but strongly recommends applying earlier - by 1 February 2027 for Fall or 1 August 2026 for Winter - to allow time for immigration processing. Late applications are considered if space remains, and Concordia does not publish a separate application-opening date. Graduate programs, including the Executive MBA, set their own per-program deadlines rather than following this university-wide undergraduate date. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
