This Joint PhD in Business Administration, offered since 1976, is delivered in affiliation with HEC Montréal, McGill University, and the Université du Québec à Montréal, giving students access to more than 300 faculty qualified to supervise doctoral research across the four partner institutions. The program offers five specializations: Accountancy, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain and Business Technology Management, with students conducting research through Concordia's John Molson School of Business and its affiliated research centres. It follows a three-phase structure: a qualifying phase of up to five prerequisite courses for students who need them, a course phase of 30 credits of required and specialization coursework, and a thesis phase of 60 credits of doctoral research, for 90 credits in total. It is a full-time, on-campus doctorate with a single Fall intake and an application deadline of January 15. Admission requires a Master's degree in business administration, or an equivalent degree, with high academic standing, plus a GMAT or GRE score taken within the previous five years. Concordia states that funding packages, including awards and assistantships, are generally available to students in thesis-based programs such as this one.
