Overview
The Bachelor of Engineering - Electronic Systems Engineering at the Cambridge - Fountain Street campus targets careers in software engineering, electronics engineering and product development. The first year is a common year offered across all of Conestoga's engineering degrees. Students complete hands-on projects culminating in a capstone design project, with strategically scheduled paid co-op work terms applying learning to real-world industry experience.

Admission Requirements: Domestic entry is quoted in Ontario terms: an OSSD or its equivalent, or being 19 or older, plus six Grade 12 courses with a minimum cumulative average of 65%. Conestoga states that competition for places often pushes the real cut-off higher. Five of the six must be U level and one may be U or M. The required Grade 12 U courses are English (ENG4U) or Conestoga's Preparatory Communications for Degrees (COMM0350), Chemistry (SCH4U), Physics (SPH4U) and Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U), plus one further Grade 12 maths from Advanced Functions (MHF4U), Mathematics of Data Management (MDM4U) or Preparatory Advanced Functions for Degrees (MATH0150), and one more Grade 12 U or M course. Co-op eligibility inside the degree needs a session weighted average of at least 65% in the qualifying term two semesters before a work term, with no more than two failures or withdrawals in that term. International applicants: Conestoga lists this program at the higher degree-level English minimums - IELTS Academic 6.5 with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 88 with no skill below 22, PTE Academic 58, or Duolingo 120. Conestoga also warns that required scores can differ for some IT and engineering programs. Anyone holding transcripts from outside Canada, Canadian citizens and permanent residents included, needs a course-by-course credential evaluation from a service such as ICAS or WES, and must show English proficiency if the language of instruction was not English.
