Cert in Production GMAW Welder

Production GMAW Welder is a 12-week program that combines welding theory with hands-on training to prepare students for employment as production welders in manufacturing settings. The program consists of four courses totaling 195 hours of instruction. Students develop welding skills using gas metal arc welding (GMAW) short-circuit and spray-transfer processes on carbon steel, and learn to read engineering drawings that include weld symbols. Instruction emphasizes practical shop skills, equipment setup, and adherence to workplace safety standards throughout the welding process. The program prepares students to attempt a Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) weld skills test in the flat position. Graduates are prepared for entry-level production welding roles in manufacturing environments.
