Nutrition and Food Service Management is a two-year Ontario College Diploma offered by Conestoga College at its Kitchener–Doon campus. The program is accredited by the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management and combines classroom theory, simulations and hands-on practice in the college's Nutrition & Public Health Food Service lab. Students study nutrition care, food service operations and management principles used in healthcare and community settings, preparing them for roles as nutrition managers responsible for planning menus, supervising food service staff and applying nutrition science to patient and resident care. Coursework covers food safety, clinical nutrition, food service administration and staff supervision alongside applied labs that replicate institutional kitchen and dining operations. Graduates are prepared for accreditation as Certified Nutrition and Food Service Managers through the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management and typically pursue careers in hospitals, long-term care homes and other institutional food service settings across the health care sector.
